Presentation Requirements
The final phase of the Capstone is the oral presentation for teachers, administrators, and/or community members . Your presentation, supported by audio/visual aids, will serve to further explain your research, fieldwork, project and the link between them. To build confidence practice the presentation and ask for feedback to help refine your presentation. You may be nervous about speaking in front of an audience; but remember that you are the expert and have invested a significant amount of time into this project. Show your confidence and enthusiasm for what you achieved. This a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself.
Time:
You should plan to explain your project to the attendees in 7-10 minutes in length. You should also be prepared to answer questions afterwards.

- Arrive 15-20 minutes before your presentation
- Dress appropriately (hair, nails, clean clothes). Dress like you would for a job interview.

- How did you come up with the idea?
- What or who influenced you to do this project?
- How does your project relate to your school that you have taken thus far?

- Who helped you and how did they help?
- What did you learn, specifically about the focus area of your project?
- What questions did you have about the focus area of your project? How many of these questions were answered over the course? What new questions do you have about your topic now?
Final outcome and overall reflection
- What was the final outcome of your project?
- How did your project have an impact on others? What about your community? What were people’s reactions to your work?
- Discuss obstacles you faced and how you overcame them?
- How were you able to manage your time to get your project completed?
- How can you take what you learned from completing this project and use it in the future?
